    Crack-pipe adaptor

So...today I found where the leak in my coolant is coming from. I thought it was a hose but I found this adaptor SQUIRTING my coolant out at about 200-300ml/min!! Needless to say I can't keep just topping it up with water every day I drive it so it needs to be fixed...

For the meantime, is there a patchable solution to cover/block ^^^^^this^^^^^ hole in the plastic? I'll probably order off GAP or something, but obviously even if I order now it won't come for a few days at least.

Solutions I'm looking for could include coolant hose tape (you can buy that sorta crap from supercheap right?), etc

Its the other side of the thermostat housing, unlike the other side which cannot be accessed without the removal of the intake manifolds this one can be changed easily. The part only cost me like 15US< for Autohaus Arizona and was changed with the crackpipe (US14) .

You could get some epoxy, I reckon that would work for the time being anyway...

And yeah, I found the crackpipe/thermo housing kit on GAP for US$49.90...not bad at all! I'll be getting one of those...and I'm really tempted to buy their performance hose kit for US $225...so cheap lol.

There are 4 pieces that make up the plastics on a VR6.

The crossover or crack pipe, the main housing which you have highlighted and elbow and the thermostat housing.

Its not worth the effort to change only one of these pieces for all the labour involved.

I can supply all 4 pieces brand new for $150 delivered, next day delivery, they are on the shelf.

Or order from O/S wait a week or 2 for delivery and save a couple of bucks.

I need to grab an assortment of other things too so I'll just do it online. Thanks though.
