I'm pretty sure mine is a similar issue in my VR.

I can start the car in gear but I can't change gear once the motor is running - there's just no give in the gear lever and I can't move it. The p/o thinks it's my clutch release bearing and bracket but I wouldn't have a clue. Camden are going to replace my clutch when they do the swap anyway so they'll see what the problem is.
Also, when I start the car in neutral and have the clutch fully disengaged you can hear something spinning around

How much is Camden charging you out of curiosity?

You should be able to feel the clutch fork immediately against the bell housing when poking through the slave cylinder hole. If not that's your problem

Clutch fork was the culprit. Snapped along the edges and in the middle (very similar to the above photo). Ruined the pressure plate and throwout bearing. Should be back together by Monday arvo with a new fork and oem LUK clutch kit. Not looking forward to the bill....
