    Chip for OBD1 VR6?

    Hi all

    Does anyone know were I can get a chip for my 1994 VR6 Golf?
    The ECU number is 021 906 258 BK... I've tried GIAC and TT.

    And it will make bugger all diference.

    Exhaust and some headwork.

    Or a pod filter for about the same increase as a chip will give you for that car.

    I'm not sure. What would the cost be? I figured about $400.

    I'm replacing my head gasket soon as I have a small coolant weep on one side and I thought about going to 262 cams at the same time. I have a Shrick manifold on the car now with a cheapo cold air intake from a Honda.
    My is a 2.5 inch custom made.

    Our vr6 are all the same, no OBDI or OBDII crap thats only in america. If ur replacing ur headgasket get ur head cleaned up and ported by a pro, that will get u more hp for the dollar.

    I have a powerchip installed in my VR6. Supposed to be good for 20+hp.

    ...BUT... i can not prove this as i have never dynoed the car or even driven a standard VR6

    headwork sound like a good plan. and since the head is off you might as well go all the way and bore it out to 3.0L
