hey guys
long story short, i had a central looking issue. no open and no close. after some stuffing around, I found my drivers side door handle had busted. basically, behind the door key lock is a spear looking thing like a flat head screwdriver. turn the key and it turns the lock in your door. my spear thing broke.
so i ripped the door handle from my parts car and fitted it. bingo, everything working. trouble is, i need my parts car key to open the doors and my original car to start the car up.
looking at the door handle closer, there doesnt seem to be an easy way to pull apart the good handle bits to fit onto the old door handle (which accepts my original key).
what can i do? is there a rebuild kit?? also, my passenger door for the good car seems to have the same issue also. so thats no go too.
one last thing, the central pump seems to be taking longer to finish doing its bizzo. only started happening today and ive swapped it out for the parts car pump and its the same thing (both pumps in the bitsa work fine). do i have a leak somewhere?? is it possible to just have the one door lock and unlock? (drivers)?
sigh
i forgot the joys of owning an old european car

If the pump runs longer than it should it normally means there is a leak in the system somewhere
yeah i thought so.
can you block off some of the pumps in the rear doors?
Youre testing my memory. I havent done it for maybe 10 years but block off where it branches out to diagnose I believe.
