SC is the way to go!
Ill ask my contact in the states for some prices for you.
Hey all Fellow mk3ers, in the quest for more power from the engine with trying to go NA, I have stumbled a radical plan. After speaking to Beau last week at Matts, he told me that I could go big cams and still look at forced induction SC that is!
At the moment I have Techtonic 264 cams, which are great but I'd like to go for more. I have read that I can go atleast 276-280 degree with the same idle, and I won't have to change valve springs however this is recommended when changing cams! I won't need to upgrade chips or anything cause I already have that so most likely just the cams and springs.
So the question is should I and how much would you pay for 276 cams and springs?
Thanks in advanced![]()

Hahaha nah thats Rays department lol.
Ahh sweet I have been looking at two different types of chargers the VF one which I almost put a deposit on one last week when I was talking to VF through emails, but then I had to pay for my flights to Europe on Saturday and I was back on the ground lol. And there is another one which Beau suggested to look at which is the Bamobamma (don't quote me on the name, something along those lines)

The VF kit looks very very nice and their write up is excellent.
I just wish our cars werent FWD, since that much power going through the front wheels is going to be a pain.

You would definately have to combat that with a LSD for sure!
That would be the best way I guess and some really good engine mounts!

HAHAHA half the time I can't understand Beau, but he's a wiz. Did he mean B&M?
While we're on the topic of cams, can anyone fully explain (or redirect us a link) to info on what a lower/higher degree cam would do, the gains/losses involved and what would be directly affected? Like you said Steve, I know there's a limit in which how high you can go with a cam before the standard valve springs won't be viable anymore.
