No offence, but it's in the sticky. At least the removal part. Not sure about installing the internal brake light, haven't seen writeups but shouldn't be too hard.

Anyway, good luck.
So tomorrow im going to attempt to remove the rear spoiler for a cleaner look but also because the spoiler on mine is damaged.
I have a 95 Golf so the brake light is in the spoiler... I purchased another brake light off a 97 Golf (so its the inside one) but im really gonna need help with all these:
1. What size hole will the spoiler make (for the 3 bolts/plugs i need to cover it with)
2. How on earth do i re-wire the brake light to the inside one.
3. How do i stick/click the brake light to the back (inside)
Hope you guys can give me some help or even a guide. Cheers!
Happy modding

wouldn't bother with installation off a late model from inside the glass. I believe there's actually a housing for them on the glass that you won't have.
Unscrew it, pull it off, clean up all the gunk. Either get some grommets for the holes or tape the inside and put some black silicone into them
Pretty much want Anth said man.
I ran no 3rd brake light at all on mine (still doesn't have one) and it passed rego and I never got booked from it either.
Ill try using silicone to stick it to the top of the boot, if not im sure i can build something that will make it stay there. Should the wiring be the same?
Also thank you stefcio didnt notice that.
