short answer: no. Imo atleast.
Pretty sure you'd have to do a fair bit of work to make it work.
if you had a 2.slow, that's another story. there are kits in the US for 2.0's. But! they're US specific so not all the kit would nessecaarily work on our cars. You'd have to check all the smaller details yourself to be sure!
it could be done, but probably cost an a bomb to get it making any real power.
Hawk's idea might be a fair bit cheaper and bring much nicer results, but im guessing youd have to have the new engine engineered and such to make it legal and I have no idea whats involved in that.
since you current engine and a 20VT are both 1.8's you might find you can be dodgey and don't need to get it engineered. Obviosuly this is dodgey, (and illegal) so I defiantly wouldn't recommend actually doing it.![]()
Getting something engineered isn't all that hard if you do a decent job of the conversion anyway. If you find a decent mechanic they can get it all done and dusted for you so it's a drive in drive out service![]()
