Blower fan not working...

I started to have a ticking noise in my fan at 1, 2, 3, 4. The ticking's speed would increase with each setting.
But it's come to the point where the ticking has stopped and the fan on 4 is equivalent to 1, not even.
I can feel Hot air coming out of the vents, just, and the rear de-mister still works (I think).
Air con works, i can see the revs drop slightly when i turn it on, but nothing is blowing through.
I could hear the ticking coming from the passenger's foot well.
My google searches lead me to think it's either a relay, Heater core or Heater Matrix (though i'm getting heat).

Any suggestions on what it could be and solution?

I'd say it's the fan speed switch.

It has copper contact strips behind the control knob, that over time, build up corrosion, or are simply not making contact.

The ticking noise was probably foliage (leaves, etc), falling into the fan from the ducting under the pollen filter.

Lucky i've got a spare around, I'll give it a swap and check.

More info: I remember it not working sometimes, but when i gave it a rev, it would kick back in.
Also 4's force would flucturate and was slowly becoming weaker day by day. Now it's same speed all round.

Mine stopped for a week. I went to kuring gai for a bit of a braaap and it started working again. Stoked.
