I knew Louis takes care of his interior so I was sure carrying dirty bikes inside the car would be a no for him

But yeah, the problem with carrying bikes outside would be so much more wind resistance... I reckon the best would be that Bones' one Gareth's talking about.

You should just buy fold up bikes.

We put 4 bikes up on the rood of our Volvo when off to a MTB race.

The altera racks are ace: lockable and you dont have to take out the front wheel!

Roofracks. Thule do a good one that the bikes stand up on. You already have roof rack points on your car.

To make the rear strut bar removeable, grind the bolt till it turns, then replace with normal bolts.

if you do go the roof rack option, just remember not drive straight into yr garage when you get home......

Saw a guy drive go thru a mcdonalds drive thru once and smashed his bikes. turned out to be a very expensive hamburger!!

I find it really easy to fit MTB's in the back of my car, 2 in fact, possibly more.

I take the wheels and seat off, and with the back seats down, slide the frame in through the door, upside down. Then the wheels, seat, bags etc. can just go in the boot. I've done this many times, the last just a week ago... ah, the Blue Mountains!
