Best way to re-black golf trim, bumpers etc?

    Hello
I've got a GL (sadly) and it would really make it look good if I could recolour the bottom trim on my golf, I was thinking either black trim paint or something like forever black. But hoping you guys would know what's best to colour it with.
    Cheers

I sanded mine down, applied 2 coats of heat resistant black paint and 2 coats clear coat.
Came out well and has retained its colour.
PS; Prep is everything and don't get cheap black paint because it will fade.

Honestly. I used a heat gun to make the plastic sweat. It works really quickly and so far has lasted really well. Just have to be carefullit doesn't turn out patchy if you rush.

supercheap have a sale now, heat guns for $30. I did the paint option because I've done it for other stuff and handy to have paint around.
BurgundyMk3's method is better as you don't physically alter anything, just need to be careful like he said.
also, I only painted my front and rear lip, other sections would be tricky I think.
heat gun is the way to go!

Forever Black. Can get it at supercheap for 15. Only stuff that works and is easy as hell to use.

Went out to the shops for late night shopping just now, My Local supercheap is a smaller one and didn't stock either any sort of plastic heat resistance paint, Only stocked 1 heatgun at 40$ and no sale and no Forever Black. I might try a bigger store later in the week but then again rain forecasted for the whole weekend so I might have to hold off until next week regardless.
I'll probably either go with Forever Black or a Heatgun as a second choice if I can find either for a good price then might even grab both and do some tests for the forum.
    Cheers

Heatgun it is then! I'll just have to shop around and look for a good price. It shouldn't been too hard because my bumper trim is already off and my sideskirts should be off this weekend. Cheers guys.
