Heh I know what you mean! It was all very tidy when I first did the install, its just been while i've been trying to track down the issues that i un tidied it all up and such. Then I had to wire up a heap of things differently and splice in my own controller and pressure switch etc. and the wiring just got nessier and messier. Some of those are air lines and not wire too. Does need a good tidying up though for sure, is on the list of things to do. Am picking up a sheet of rubber to put on the board to try and quiet down the compressors a bit which resonate quite bad and make a lot of noise.

So on my way home from Jaycar on sunday, with everything I needed to finally do the wiring properly, a wire for a compressor came loose, and shorted through a petrol can. Most of the wiring melted and it also melted through my air lines. Ohwell. Was bound to happen, and I knew it. haha. Put some hours into rewiring everything related to the air set up the last few days, wish I took some photos, is a work of art now. I got rid of all the wiring for the switchspeed management as Ive given up on it, it caused nothing but pain, and also ran 8 gauge wire right to each compressor, and added fuses and such so that there will be no more car catching on fire action in the future hopefully. Also made up some new switches and a loom for them, they look pretty neat, much nicer then the little switchboard I knocked up quickly when the switchspeed died. I'll get some photos later. Also am working on something a bit different to mount the gauges, should be pretty cool hopefully, although its my first time playing with firbreglass so im still learning.
You don't realise how much time a simple wiring loom can take to make until you do it properly, haha.
Waiting on new airlines to come so I can finish fixing this ****ing thing, no idea where they are though! Really wanting to get the car back on the road for the euro meet on Friday but its looking unlikely.

Been a while since an update, the airlline I needed to replace came in so I did that and it was all good This time I made sure both of the front hoses were the same length and the same with the back, as so when you hit the switches at the same time, they fill at the same speed. This was something I had been wanting to do for a while anyway so I guess in a way it was a good thing I had to replace them
Day after fixing the suspension I was on my way out to Lakeside for the happy laps event, when one of my rear brakes came off and jammed into the wheel, causing it to lock up and send me sliding. Turns out the bolts connecting the carrier to the stub axle must have vibrated loose or something (they had been tourqed correctly when I put those brakes on some 6 months ago) and so I got a new brake disc, some bolts, loctite, a bearing kit and a set of pads hoping I could fix it with just that. Swapped those in but turns out the caliper is rooted as well, and sticks on pretty badly. Drove it back to toowoomba with a sticking caliper as I had to go up there for easter, and in Toowoomba the clutch started slipping reallllly badly. As in if I accelerate DOWN hills it just revs up and doesnt get much faster, let alone up hills. So I've left the car there until I can afford a cluch kit, which I'll have a go at putting in myself.
Atleast checking how badly the brake was sticking is easy with the bags
Picked up some mk4 rear brakes so swap on to fix the brakes so those should be a nice little upgrade to do while fixing that mess
In other news, I finally got around to making a proper floor for the boot, reinforced and covered in rubber and carpet, looks very nice, and the compressors are a lot more quiet now that theyre mounted on it. Considering relocating the air intakes to the compressors now as that it the noise that is loud now instead of the compressors resonating on the board. Didnt get any photos unforunately, did snap this one from the front while doing it though
Have also been working on this for the gauges, its come far from the photos and is almost done but this is all I have
Also picked these up from Wheel Revolution in Slacks Creek after being redrilled, they're now 5x100 ready for some vr6 lovin'
Ill finish with this
