I disagree, bags are to slam it whenever possible, only to be pumped up for driveways, speedbumps and police I drive it at the lowest height it will roll

Yeah thats fair then, I dont have gauges yet so thats why I dont ride super low I never know what height im at !
And the fact of never wanting to change my oil pan as I have plenty other on going issues lol.

My boot install is still basically a rats nest of wires and lines on a piece of bare mdf at the moment haha, i could get some though. Making it all super pretty isnt a priority at the moment, im sure it will happen soon enough though
Now ill be the first to admit that thisis far from ideal...
But its holding oil
I do have a new sump on the way from GAP so this is a temporary solution at best. Basically patched it up with some metal epoxy kind of stuff.
Self notch progress:
Oh and also said goodbye to this for the last time today
haha to the sump repair! Might want to run aired up at least till you get the new one! Did you think about getting an r32 sump? supposedly it sits above the sub frame? Since you have ordered one from gap - maybe before you install it get some 5 mill steel sheets welded on to kind of armour it? Like a ghetto panzer skid plate? It would be worth it - you like riding around slammed (who doesn't) and this will save you some cash for sure! You need to spend your money on those rs's!!
Oh and sad to see whats left of your vr go - but just think a great deal of her parts live on in my car!

^ Doesn't he have a shortened sump for the VR already?
You can see how many time's the 8v sump has already kissed the ground haha.

HAHAHA
I certainly did have a r32 pump with a sexy custom shortened steel sump for the vr6, although that sump got raped by forklifts after the crash, so I'm just going to run a r32 one that picked up for a steal on the 'tex when I finish that engine. Unfortunately the 1.8 has a very different sump to the vr6 anyway so it's of no use yet.

Of course - I keep forgetting that vr is not in your 2 door yet! doh!
Heh compared to the vr6 the sump in the 1.8 actually sits significantly higher then the subframe, still not sure how I broke it, haha.
Both of the metal cross member things that go over exhaust have been ripped off too, good thing theyre of little use anyway
The joys of driving rediculously low
I often get comments from random people, makes my day every time, even though it's sometimes border line stalkerish... Like if I'm out driving the work ute and someone ive never seen in my life asks if I own "that" little white golf they've seen pulling into maccas on the other side of town a while back... Haha
