Anyway, a lot of dirty messy hours put into this thing this weekend in an attempt to fix everything on the road worthy list for its re inspection tomorrow. Things needing to be fixed included Wiper blades, alternator belt, 2 tyres, rear brakes; new shoes, drums need machining and noisy bearings, front brake hoses. Mechanic quoted $1000 to fix it all up. **** that.

    New belts

Boxes from ECS always make me happy, especially when they come in 3 days from hitting the order button!

Sexy steel brake lines for all flexy hoses and new wheel bearing kits

    Front brake hoses replaced

Old VR6 Calipers and Carriers chilling in the oven after a coat of a much more subtle satin black paint, instead of the ricey blue I had done them on the old car. Must be growing up or something.

Distributing valve from VR6 Disc brake set up put in to replace the one for drums. I'm doing this right.

Stub axles, hard brake lines and hand brake cables moved over from vr6 rear beam to CL one, would have been easier to have just swapped the whole rear beam over, but as the rear of the old car took a mighty hard hit I decided I wouldnt risk it. Plus aligning that **** on jack stands would have been a bitch. New wheel bearings and everything in and it all back togethor:

Half 4x100 half 5x100 confused grandma beast car with front skiddy wheels?

Shall see how it all goes tomorrow. I still have my doubts and arent getting the hopes up.

Adapters are definitely easiest, but illegal and will make your wheel poke out further. If you have disc brakes already in the rear its as easy as swapping the 4x100 rotors to 5x100 rotors. If you have drums in the back like i did you have to swap a **** load of stuff. In the front you would either have to swap a lot of the stuff (like control arms, hubs, drive shafts, brakes, etc etc etc) or run some 4x100 and 5x100 hubs which you can pick up from fifteen52 I think, or even make yourself.
