Might be a bit unrealistic for us, but gives us something to dream about I suppose

Wher'nt all the prices in US dollars?

What where they talking about with the "gutting the VR6 manifold"?

I also notice they all talk of 2.25" exhausts. Am i incorect in getting a 2.5" with a 2.5" cat? Im so confused. Or do they speak of internal diameters rather than the aus way of external diameters?

With the 7200 rpm limiters they speak of, i would have thought the larger pipe would be necicary if you wanted to take advantage of the higher rpm.

half of that seems to be an ad for EIP tuning stuff.
And i dont know if u have seen the EIP tuning threads. But i just wouldnt be making decisions based on the performance of their products.

That's why I think it's unrealistic. As you said Tim, it's basically as if EIP and the other tuning companies paid them to make this article. It's a good "guide" I suppose for those that don't really know what one can do to achieve more power and at what cost (like me). It's also unrealistic in that it's for the American market, and there may hardly be any suitable professionals down under to the job correctly. And yeah, US dollars!!!! The article's from EuroTuner, an American magazine that most of the Vortexers make it out to be the Euro-American counterpart to our Hot4 magazines lol.

im such a party pooper arent i

if youre after good content on vwvortex subscribe to the 12v vr6 thread where Bildon motorsport are exploring the NA tuning capabilities of the vr6.
40+ pages worth of banter and no real results yet. But the outcome of their research should be interesting. Theyre in chase of 275 crank HP in NA form.

My comment about everything being possible relates more to the methods used to extract more power our of the VR6 power plant.

Specific products are a side point. Just substitute what they're using for more locally available stuff.

Case in point: there is plenty of VF engineering blowers around here, and MoTeC ECU's
