    behavioural engine issues...

so anyway, the car sounds like a wrx...

last night at the meet it was perfectly fine. Got home, nothing wrong. Today I hopped in and started the car and it was so rough the whole car shook back and forth and it mimics the sound of a wrx when revving it. It was very hesitant to rev also.

What on earth could have gone wrong between then and now? I checked to see spark plugs, leads and coilpack were all plugged in...they shouldn't have just given up between yesterday and today.

    Any ideas?

Argh what the fugg...I've just gone to run the car again to test each output on the coilpack and the bloody thing ran fine.

Is there any explanation for this/is there something I can determine from this intermittency?

if your coilpack is cracked. Condensation can form in there and the car will run like arse especially on cold mornings

Certainly shorter ago than what was offered on warranty! I'll have a good look at the coilpack tomorrow afternoon.

Something like this happend to me, with the wrx sound. Turned out it was the breather hose to the charcoal canister melted to the exhaust heat shield lol.
