That sounds a bit like the vr that went to Seb's..although I'm not sure.
One of my customers bought a reposessed dark green VR6 from a Canberra auction a couple of months ago. Its got front brake ducts, pod air filter and a short stubbie aerial. I havent taken any pics of it, apart from those mods its just a standard lowered VR6 on standard wheels. I am presently up to my arms in it....
It also had a cracked thermostat housing, blown headgasket and broken and worn out timing chain guides so the customer is being hit with a large bill. Fortunately the clutch wasnt worn out!
Need to finish this one up as I have 3 more VWs waiting to have engine removals and rebuilds before I go to the DOVW... Grrr![]()

Think there was some interest here but the auction house wanted crazy money to sell prior...
80,000km 1997 MK3 VR6 manual for sale - www.vwwatercooled.org.au/forums/f23/80-000km-1997-manual-vr6-nsw-sydney-67658.html
Went for $3000-$4000 to my customer, mind you, its gonna cost him a lot to get back to being decent, forgot to mention the damn heater core being bypassed..., A job for late summer I guess...
Hopefully get it up and running this morning before a yukky Ford Econovan comes in for a cambelt this arvo... (love a break around here!)
