    Anyone Want A Badgeless Grill?

    Hey guys,

After firing off a few emails and messages to companies selling badgeless grills on eBay, I've been offered a deal from "goingfast" for 2 of their MK3 badgeless grills which are of good quality according to some of the guys on Vortex!

2 x VW Golf MK3 3 Euro ABS Badgeless Sport Grill GTI VR6 AE 1111008
    price each: US$ 17.90
    sub total: US$ 35.80

    Shipping to Australia
    price: US$ 149.85

    Total: US$ 185.65

Thats AUS$192 or $96 each. They weren't too keen on sending more than 2 over here for some reason, I have asked already, hence no group buy thread!

Would anyone else be keen on getting one with me?

Unless anyone else can find one cheaper, this is the best price I have found so far

    Lorenz

i'm so in! goingfast have SO MUCH stuff on ebay for the mk3 golf. I've been thinking about contacting them for a while. and now you have done all the work? how much do you reckon it would cost to get one of the two from Adelaide to Sydney?

also, do you know if they sell ABS boser hood extensions?

Haha, yeah I was waiting for someone else to do the work, but alas I took it into my own hands and sent off a load of emails. Most places wont even consider posting over here... sucks

Umm postage to Sydney wouldnt be too much, wont weigh much, probaby $15-$20 I rekon. Still cheaper than buying one straight from them! Postage on the VR6 lips from Tim was $15 IIRC, and thats similar weight/length

Not sure on the boser extensions, will have to have a look I guess!
EDIT: By the looks of it, NO, sadly they dont sorry mate!

Lachlan, if they're willing to do separate packages of two, I would go halvies with you. I've got a 3 slat badgeless in the making and I don't know if that's gonna look good with what I want to do with my Mk3...

Ill send off another email to them later to see if they are keen on doing a larger batch this time. If they see their stuff is in demand, I might be able to work something out with them.
Cant hurt to ask again huh!

    Ill keep everyone updated aaaaaaaight!

Haha I know EXACTLY what you mean. Being a student, even a couple of hundred on payday feels like a lottery win. Unfortunately I need more paydays To be honest I have no use for another grille, but I can't help it when the opportunity arises! I have been quoted a similar amount for only one grille from them before, which put me off buying parts like that from overseas.

be careful with trying to send something like this via aussie post. They have limitations on the maximum length of a package. Ive had trouble with some of the chicks behind the counter not wanting to accept the VR6 lips cos theyre around a meter long depending on how you measure it.

stolen from the aussie post website.

The maximum allowed weight of a parcel that can be lodged at a retail counter is 20kg.
    Maximum Size
The length of the greatest linear dimension of a parcel must not exceed 105cm.
The girth of a parcel must not exceed 140cm.
