mate have it hooked up to one of these computers and get the error codes .. it would tell you where your problem is ..
Just wondering if anyone has has this problem before:
driving home the other night, going up warwick range, down to 4th gear (usually pulls fine in 4th), gave it a bit more accelerator and it died, lift off accelerator a bit and it goes again. Did this whole way up range.
Then driving along flat road just over range, and put accelerator down more and dies, off again and goes again.
Changed fuel filter - not fixed
Read on wikipedia that a faulty temperature sensor would make digifant ECU increase fuel flow (making the ECU think that its cold, so it needs more fuel to heat up) (I forgot that my temp sensor was starting to fail, it never got about about 40 degrees)
Put new sensor in, and new spark plugs.... still no joy.
Ive tried everything I can think of, but nothing its working.
If anyone knows that would be great.
Thanks

also i give mien a good clean out i bought some subaru upper head cleaner from a dealer, stuff works amazing better than anything else ive tried and costs about 12$ or so a can, have fixed similar problems on 2 mk3s
Radiators are over rated
So I had it plugged into a reader, and it said:
Water temp sensor
Hall Sensor
Camshaft sensor
Now the 2.0L 8V doesn't have a sensor on the camshaft, it uses the Hall sensor on distributor. I'm wondering if this might be the reason why it only revs out to 5000rpm. Maybe there are two different distributors? I'm going to start a new thread asking what everyones mk3 2.0L rev out to I think, and what distributor/hall sensor they have. I've been told they can rev out to 7000rpm. I'm going to try and get a new distributor tomorrow and hopefully that will fix this problem. The weird thing is that I have spark and Fuel, so it should start???
