Unhappy Any one know any places to get cheap parts??

I have been looking around for cheap general parts like
spark plugs etc but they are soo expencive I found that
Auto One are generaly the cheapest, but still charge $30
for oil filter, $90 for a set of sparkys and $220 for the leads.
I broke so I have been delaying on the change of the leads
spark plugs and the car needs them very bad,
If some one can advise of any shops it would be greatly appriciated

    Thanks

sorry people I'm actualy talking about a vr6

    they have seen you coming.

sparkies should cost you no more than $5 each, ie $20 a set - go to repco or supercheap and look in the the catalogue for your golf, then get them in.

leads? no more than $100 for a mk1. again, supercheap will have enough to get you outa trouble, good bosch ones will cost you more but to be realistic, those ****ty blue top gun ones seem to go just fine.

the absolute best oil filter you can get should'nt cost you more than $20, and you can get your generic type ones anywhere for between 10-$15.

    what is your car anyways?

depends on what sort of engine we are talking.
VR6 spark plugs arent cheap. And the oil filters arent your usual type either.

well I'm actually talking about parts for a vr6
I used to own a escort about the same age as a mk1 golf
and the plugs did cost $5 and the filter did cost $10 and the leads did cost
    about $30
I think ever thing is expencive just for the vr6
