ABS light comes on and off as it feels like it!

My ABS light comes on and then goes off the very next time i start the car?

Some days it does, some days it doesn't!

Could be a few things, does it come on after you set off down the road?

Most likely to be a sensor.

Best way to find it is with a VAG-COM scan. Failing that you can check the resistance and output of each of the sensors with a multimeter.

The front ones can be got at from under the bonnet, the rears have connectors under the back seats.

yeah i have the same prob with mine, stays on most of the time now, sometimes stays off on a trip. took it to vw village, they said it's a common problem with mk3's, usually means the ABS is rooted, could just be a sensor thing though,
