Finally got some pics of my Airbox mods guys!!!

Camera's working again...

Anyone for swiss cheese..?

All the holes are drilled strategically so they only draw cold air from the well ventilated areas on the side away from the engine...

I removed the vacuum lines and taped closed the flapper so it cant let any hot air in...

Which can be seen better here...

Then i routed the plumbing beside the main serp belt

And out the front into glorious fresh air!!!

Then to add the final touch!!!

Ok, here it is - my twin intake set up with std airbox. Any cop that looks under the hood will see stock items only.

Here is the look from the front of the car. I have intakes on both sides to replace the stock grilles. They are bonrath and i picked them up from carshine in melb. Passengers side is for nothing at moment. Will probably mount my oil cooler behind it when i get it.

Closer view of the driver side intake. Note i have installed the air temp sensor back where it belongs. I will put some mesh over the intake so i don't suck up a kitten soon.

Both intakes coming into the airbox. Was not too much of a pita to fit.

Inside the airbox. Both intakes separately coming in. Not only does this allow much better breathing, I can be less worried about aqua-lock as it will always breathe via both intakes. I also feel much more confident knowing a garbage bag etc can cover the lower intake and the car wont stall.

So how does it feel?? Much better. It also feels like it gets some positive pressure when moving along at speed. (maybe I've been smoking too much crack) :sly:
I am currently running a k&n filter as a std paper will get ruined i assume. I am going to change over to a non oiled foam type asap.

Sound is great, and not too over the top. Cost me less than $100 all up. Bargain.

Wow this all sounds great... but one thing... When you put more ducting on, don't you have to filter the air coming through somehow? The charcoal filter filters the air coming in, don't you have you do the same for the improvised air ducts in the car? Otherwise you might have a higher risk of rubbish getting into the engine... Suggestions?
