urika!!! fixxed it.![]()
timing is fine, fuel lines are fine. turns out its something to do with the starter motor or the ecu. i discovered that if i start the car and let the revs build up to the 5k switch the ignition off then quickly turn it back on and let the momentum of the motor kick it off again she revs all the way upto the red. cheers for the help fellas im a happy camper. also im thinking of instaling a racing camshaft any reliable aftermarket cams out there????
Another thing to think about is, If the ECU is not getting a Vehicle speed sensor signal it will impose a rev limit of 5000.

I had the same issue, using the VAG-COM I found a Hall Sender Signal error, this was due to the dizzy being slightly out-ie timing. A local mechanic might be able to adjust it when you next get a tune up
