Advice wanted re side mirror

My left side wing mirror was completely smashed by some hoon (deliberately) a few years ago. I just got it taken off and the cables were cut off as they were attached to the old broken mirror and the hole was taped over.

Is there a simple fix e.g a Mk 3 mirror without internal cabling I can just stick on and adjust manually?

Is this for a Passat or a Mk3??

All VW Mirrors are similar but not the same.

I can probably find you either a Passat or Golf one, just confirm which car it is.

Re : THe cut wires, if you took the door trim off, there is a plug you can simply plug the new wiring into.
