Remember most important thing on a track day is steering and brakes, doesnt matter how fast you go you can only go as fast as you can stop and steer.

Like we've said previously the engine will be staying stock for quite some time.. more focusing on getting it going with what we have atm and get some track time..

Then a definite upgrade of coilovers and brakes oh and LSD.

It's stock. With no interior or a/c.

Now worries man, heres the details:
Stock motor with pod filter and A/C removed.
Lightweight flywheel and excedy racing heavy duty clutch
BFI Stage 0.5 mounts
Bistein PSS9 coilovers
Neuspeed 23mm rear swaybar
-3 degrees camber on the front
Dunlop slicks on original BBS 15" wheels
Standard brake calipers, (280mm fronts still) slotted rotors and QFM A1RM pads.
Sparco seat and harness
rear seats and trim removed

I ran a 1:15.7 at Wakefield on thursday in the first session. Was hoping to shave a bit more time and get down into the 1:14 bracket, but had a bit of a moment and put it off the track a bit sideways. Broke a left front axle and had to send it home on a tilt tray
In the shop now getting fixed and will be back well in time for Nationals.

Cleaned up the shed a bit and got a fair bit done with Simon tonight. Pretty much finished the grinding off all unessential metal from inside the car, got the ECU mounted back up, degreased and cleaned the engine bay, removed the last of the sound deadening/ heatproofing in the engine bay and fitted taillights. New driveshaft seal has been ordered from VW ($45!!!!!!) and that should hopefully arrive tomorrow. If the pulley's rock up this week, we should be able to get the engine in on the weekend!
