    ABS light on dash

Any of you guys had your abs light come up?
happened recently while driving on the high way,
hasnt seemed to affect the car at all..
i had the same thing happen to my bmw a while ago but the ABS still worked.
should i bring it into someone to check for fault codes?
    car is an AAA 94' Vr6 mk3

    cheers,

ABS units usually go mate. Lucky if its an abs sensor but unlikely, even if it is throwing that car. Worth a shot cleaning them all up though!

Depends on the vintage man. The OBD2s and some OBD1s have different style units to the early OBD1s. I know that when I did a direct swap between my 1997 wreck and my 1996 build car it worked straight away so you could be in luck!

The issue is that the solder joints dry out and crack in the unit I think, so if you are daring you could always try pulling it apart and resoldering it?

It could also be the solder joints in the abs module. I had every single abs fault possible. Took the module out (it attaches to underneath the abs pump) took it apart and resoldered any suspect looking connections. Works perfectly.

Remove Black plastic dash part where ABS light is on your dash , Unplug ABS light plug , snap ABS light cover back on dash.

    Problem gone
