    Thanks mate!
I am not %100 sure as it was a wrecker who is very active on an old mist forum I still hang around on, and I hit him up for parts time to time.. though if Smeebs' Vento is in VIC I would definitely hit him up over it!

If it was one without the wood grain I would have jumped on it ASAP .. only because I have a Mk4 GTI look-a-like shift knob on the way

would you sell the airbag from it?

I did the audio install myself. Looked for a wiring harness for an easy install but couldn't find any. Got everything working the first time.
It's really some trial and error to figure out which speaker is which and the power for battery, ignition and ground are easily checked with a multimeter.
I live pretty close if you need a hand with it.
Excellent condition man. Interior is top. Mine is the same except I'm missing the passenger floor mat.
(Don't really want to buy a whole set just to replace one, might eventually though).

I've been considering a new exhaust too and have been trawling through the threads here to no avail so really interested to see how it goes.

Ah okay. End up finding it in the same colour? I bought Stu's old one off Foff and had to do a respray but it was totally worth it! Nothing like fresh paint

Thanks the offer, when I finally purchase/find an amp I'm happy with I may take you up on it!

I'm pretty happy interior besides my drivers seat is a bit worn and my roof lining is sagging like kack. Also the A-pillar trim running up the windscreen has a clip broken

We should organise a small meet with some VIC lads or something, I haven't met any of the VWW guys yet!

The colour I'm not to sure on, been trying to find out but I haven't got an answer yet.. I can potentially get the headlights, two sets of guards and headlight grill and bonnet for 225 + shipping from Sydney. Anybody have any idea on a rough guestimation in what that could be?

Fresh paint is the bomb but at a minimum my front and rear bar need redone :/ and the doors and all have knicks and tiny chips in them but not to noticeable ! And will also get around to my lip kit and spoiler eventually.

Quick question though, if anybody cares to look at page one, would it be cheaper to get that dint fixed on the current guard or use the new one and respray?

    Cheers,
    Aiden

totes get a respray. I'm kicking myself for not doing it when I had the chance but if you're gonna be amending damages here and there on the car, plus painting a few panels, you may as well respray the whole thing. Just do as much of the prep as possible and you'll end up paying less anyway

Fair call, So you reckon get the vento conversion parts, leave the guards and get it all fixed at once, or may aswell grab both the guards as well? I do know its a 96+ so the guards don't have the flares! I just don't want to be reaping the miss matched panel scene haha!

But if it comes to doing the front and rear bar, bonnet and one guard.. thats almost half the car lol

At least I'll be going same colour all round.. so itl be a closed door respray

Well yeah. I mean, I did bonnet and front+rear bar and didn't pay much (seeing as though they had to strip the bonnet).

I also needed to do my hatch and I've got so many scuffs and tiny dents and paint damage above all my windows, and my side skirts are completely hammered. I'm annoyed because I could've done it then and there and gotten it over and done with but that means now (if I'm bothered/if I find some Rieger flares or stock 63mm flares for some sweet moulding job) I'm undecided if I'd respray or wrap the whole car.

All I can say is, that if it needs to be done and you're doing half the job, you may as well get the whole job over and done with to save yourself going back.
