    Yeh c2, bahnbrenner an a couple others. Yeh you dont need a intercooler to run a turbo, but with aussie temp's it's better to have 1 especially if this car is gonna see some traffic, plus it give you a bit more power. but thats for a stg 1 kit
    But really i wouldnt get a stg1 turbo kit for a auto, there's no exciting kick from it, i think its a waste of extra fuel !!
    as for chips, for $200-$300 it sorta worth gettin 1, it cleans up ya A/F ratio an gives you a better bang for the amount of fuel your car uses. but be aware different companies have different chips and some chips are made to use more fuel. carnt remember rite now but theres a company who only make chips that eat more fuel. It's better if you call and find out about the chip. Only thing with a auto, is you wont feel any difference, but your hwy fuel effiencey will get better.
    A stage 1 is called a stage 1 cause it runs no intercooler . Once a cooler is fitted , boost is doubled and you get a big increase in power
    You dont want a kick from a turbo car with an auto behind it . There are only 3 bolts holding the flex plate to the torque converter , they will sheer pretty easy if you apply too much sudden torque . The reason to install a stage 1 turbo is its the cheapest way of getting smooth linear power . By the time you do cams,exhaust,tune etc your more than 1/2 way there to a turbo kit .

    yeah thats exactly what im looking for, more smooth linear power, since this is a daily, i just want some more umph for fun for the days i go on cruises with mates.

    awesome, so after i get this major service done, and fix everything up, im gonna jump straight into the cams etc, and when thats all stable i'll look into a stage 1 kit.

    Yo wassup.

    Gonna bump this thread coz I'm back! I had a few issues, and had to spend my the cash I saved for the car, but now Im back into it and ready to throw some money at it!

    So question,
    If I get a schimmel 263 cam, proper CAI, 2.5" TT exhaust with single borla(steel or alluminized?), and a GIAC to go with it all, what am I looking at in terms of power increase? And would the work for the install be a big job? I was gonna get my timing chain done with the cams since I'm starting to hear a little rattle lol

    yep! they should fit fine - poke out about 14mm more than stock wheels do now from my calculations!
