have you had it scanned for codes yet?
Might just be a dodgy sensor which messes with the mixture once it warms up
hey all,
out of curiosity approx how much would it cost to take my car in to a mechanic and have them test for blown head gasket.....
The car has continuos stumbles.. ive got a new set of leads coming in the next couple days, and coil has recently been changed out. i cleaned the maf recently, possibly knocking one of the vac lines as Matt suggested. i checked over them all last night as well as cleaned the throttle body... There was a problem a while ago but i pulled the pump out cleaned it etc tested it and that seems to be ok.. pump relay seems ok.
the car runs perfect from cold on startup 80 percent of the time, but the other 2o % it runs like a dog straight away... but when its had time to warm up thats when the real magic happens... it gets wrx syndrome and hesitates, stumbles, lacks power if you put foot downand then intermittently runs fine, and back and forth....
could these problems still point to leads/coilpack? ive looked over coil and there is no cracks and i cant see arcing at night time..
which makes me think head gasket however the oil looks ok, no milkiness and no oil in rado fluid so.....
any ideas on mechanic cost for testing? or ideas whether its not the gasket
sorry for the long post, but this is doing my head in?.. am so over pulling this car apart one piece at a time to no avail

nope. just started a new job so havent had the chance to take any time off and get to the mechanics to get it scanned..
is there anyway to disconnect the sensor/sensors that could be the problem, whilst the car is running, to check if that fixes the problem or does it have to be scanned?
