    A vr6 in a 3 door is more tempting to me than an abf but i dont think ill bother for a while lol. I dont know whether many ppl know this but a 3 door is the same size as a 5 door

    The big prob with a vr6 is that is 60kg heavier & most of all it has 15 degree tilt towards the front of the car which would have a not to good effect on handling
    You always hear about people who do a vr6 conversion in a mk2 that the car looses a lot of handling ability

    Ugh, this is becoming one of 'those' threads How much info in here actually relates to 8v engines vs 16v ones?! Sweet f-all as far as I can see!

    Why does everyone on this forum hypothesise about the cost of engine conversions they've never done

    There are only a couple of people on here with proper, qualified, industry knowledge (I certainly am not one of them), but they just don't post very often. With threads like this, it's little wonder!

    P.S. You can most certainly turbocharge VW k-jet with the right mods - Turbo Technics sold kits to do it only up until a few years ago.

    How about we stay on track

    there was a few 16v turbo kits on ebay last year back in the uk...selling for about 600 quid!

    hows it goin i hav a 16v golf abf and i can keep up and beat most vr6 and on a trak my car hadels alot betta i recomend the conversion
