Quick update on this.
Parts used were Bora 24V Motor and inlet manifold
Custom exhaust downpipe
Bora alternator bracket modified to fit the VR6 alternator, p/s pump and alternator.
Modified Mk4/3 tensioner so we can use the standard Mk3 VR6 belt.
Slightly modded subframe to give clearance for the pump.
Bora oil cooler
Combo Bora/VR6 coolant housing
All waterpipes mimick the VR6 setup, including the electric waterpump.
VR6 Gearbox, clutch and driveshafts are used, new parts replace the old.
Front engine mount is slightly modified.
Throttle body off a 1996/7 VR6 fits the bora manifold. As this car is a 1995 there was some wiring involved to make the later throttle body wiring behave the same as the earlier.
Hoping the standard computer can cope with running the later motor, wont give quite as much power as the bora wiring loom, but a damn sight easier.
All sensors used are VR6 ones, except for the cam angle sensor which had to be spliced in.
As it sits at the moment, needs power steering fluid, idles a bit high, so cam sensor wires may need adjusting. Some other wiring needs fixing.
Has an oil leak
Working on the vacuum setup for the Variable intake timing
Gave it a quick go round the carpark and it was pretty hectic.
Needs the front and some more loving, but sounds beefy and pulls hard.
