2 Litre Pressure Plate Stretch Bolts

Getting conflicting information about the requirement to replace the bolts between the pressure plate & the crankshaft.......

Some say they are stretch bolts & should be replaced every time.......some say they do not need replacing......

    so which is it?

And what about the pressure plate to flywheel bolts? from what I can determine they are Ok and don't need to be replaced.

    Thanks for your help.

Every clutch kit i have bought, (i've only bought two) has come with replacement bolts for everything. In your case, if you're sourcing everything separately i'd just get new bolts. At least if there are problems after the install you know it won't be because of loose bolts. Just my 2c

Thought they were replacement, I did mine anyway.
Cheap enough just to do it for piece of mind

    where'd ya get em?

Tooleys, where I'm probably getting the rest of the bits from, don't sell them as they say they don't need to be done.

    Any leads would be appreciated.

    ECS for me as well
Tooleys is pretty good for most service parts, but stuff like bolts I've found the stealership is the best option locally.

Thanks Gents, I'll try the nearest VW Dealer first, as shipping from ECS is $50 which I may be able to wear if I had reason or $$$ to order a few other bits from them, but that's not on the cards at the moment.

    Thanks again for your help.
