2.0 Linkages

After replacing my clutch, gearbox oil etc. I am experiancing some difficulty finding 1st gear. I had this problem before I replaced the clutch and was hoping it may go away, it hasn't.

I have some play in the gear lever itself, there is a bush for the selector shaft in the engine bay that is worn, i'm fairly sure that is the problem. The bush appears to be bonded or "vulcanised" to the chassis. My question is, has anyone replaced this bush or can they offer advice to help tighten up the shifting action and help me take off in 1st instead of 3rd..??
