So bad luck strikes once more with this POS jetta.

Picked up a vibration on thursday which became hectic friday on the way home.

Started stripping the front suspension to find, control arm bushes worn moertoe, balljoints had so much play looked like a earthworm flopping around, both coilovers f**t, they dont even compress out by their own anymore, the left hand side shaft where you insert an allen key to loosen the top nut was completely rounded off and the nuts which hold the shock mounts seized and both shock mounting bearings seized.

So everything stripped out the car, if fuel wasn't so expensive i probably would have set it alight!!!!

    New items purchased:
2 x Febi control arm rear bushes
2 x Febi control arm front bushes
2 x Febi Shock mount bushes with bearings
    2 x Balljoints
    12 x New CV bolts

CV shafts were given in by Sajco to inspect them for any damage and to service the joints, but turned out all 4 CV's were f**t and could not even be reconditioned. So 4 new cv's were fitted and shafts checked for balance.

Then I made a call to DDM imports, and he offered me excellent and speedy service, so last night I collected a big box from him...

Good work mate, I'm jealous that you guys in Europe can get aftermarket bits so quickly, and most likely way cheaper than what we can do here. Anyway, it'll feel good having a well-running car again!

I'm in South Africa, after market parts are just as scarce here and expensive, the importer luckily had a set in stock for an order that was cancelled, so more luck than anything else, otherwise the car would be on trecels for a few weeks.
