    That 'bodykit' is nasty as hell imo. Has he stuck a mk3 front lip under the rear bumper? And what are those door handles?

    I just sold my mk2 for $2600 and the paint was fine. For $6000 I'd want something with a lot more than some cheap stuck on bits.

    Yeah its not pretty mate. There is a respray thread on here from when the original owner painted it 4 years ago in his backyard. I couldn`t find it then tho....

    OK, I'll go back to my original plan and modify my 97 Polo. With a 1.8 Golf motor it will have a better power/weight ratio than the GTI MK2 but none of the street cred.

    I'll still keep an eye out for an old GTI though.

    Hey i've got a Mk2 GTi for sale.. If you go to the MK2 threads you might find my listing... "Mk2 GTi for sale" posted yesterday... It's an unfinished project with a ton of work and money already spent. No photo's up as yet but can take a few and email if you are keen.
