Will this be the next mod for the "2"???

    Hey everyone!

OK, so I just got back from Sydney, and was well impressed with all the nice watercoolers down there!

Sitting next to some nice Mk2's, I noticed that my little "2", while looking resplendent in her small bumpers, she looked a little anorexic... Then I remembered something I had hiding up in the ceiling of my garage that might just help fatten the old girl up a little bit...

The piece at the front is the 8 valve GTI front lip (for when I put "Operation Coilover" into effect) as I currently have the deeper 16v lip fitted to the car. The rest of the parts are, obviously, a complete set of arches and rubbing strips (in mint condition) to suit a 3dr Mk2...

Only problem is that there is no return from this mod. The holes for the rubbing strips were deleted in the panel shop, so I'd have to drill new holes...

Still I think they'd look sweet, but I thought I'd throw it to you guys...

    Should I fit them???

Thanks in advance for your input everyone...

    Cheers!

Yup - I much prefer it wit them on. Especialy seeing it side by side with other Mk2's, I thought the strips were a good thing for the Mk2.

I reckon that VW does not play dice, when they do something they do it for a reason, after great thought & a lot of trial
I like the factory look & think you should put it all on, but try to avoid any drilling. So try to fing some sort of adhesive to see how it goes for a while & if you don't jell to the look you still have all of your styling options.
