what year? is it a 1.8l on digifant?
I used to own an Aust delivered '90 GTI manual & it didn't have a cig lighter.
1800 Digifant injection.
i've got a south african import from 87.. i've never tried the lighter but i'd spose it works. it's also same place.. if that's any help
Yep I have a '90 import and no cigarette lighter, which suits me fine.
Still, didnt stop a previous owner(or friend) from burning a hole in the passenger seat.
Polo GTI dosent come with a lighter either. I think they are trying to tell people something (hint: STOP SMOKING).
just put on in? takes 10 mins - for aux outputs like sat nav or chargers etc

No ash tray. No lighter. Electric windows + cubby hole. Dunno if its aftermarket or not, but the switches light up.
Dont smoke so dont care :D
