whinning noise from engine bay

actually, i started the car up today for the first time in a few days, the ar was freezing, i have a feeling it might be from the actual fuel lines, its a 1.8 L kjet, so im not sure if anyone else has experienced this before? could fuel line make noises when there really cold????
