Where are the back speaker cables??

Hi guys

Just pulled out the heater to fix the core and have decided to upgrade the stereo...

My car is Mk2 GTI 5 door ( Aust import)

i can see the two connectors behind the old head unit ( one for the speakers that has all the wires in it and the the other for the power and control... There where no rear speakers when i bought the car and it does not look like they where ever installed..purchased new 6 x 4 speakers to fit in the back...but wait where are the back cables..HUH!

i thought they would have at least rub the cables for them..i cant find them any where... or am i looking in the wrong place. I can easily run more cables but would like to know more about it

Any suggestions on where they are hiding?

When I had my Aussie Mk2, I found a cable behind the glove box and the panel under it, I didn't know what it is but realized it's for rear speaker.

Yeap!... found it!.... thanks very much for that. I wonder why they didn't run the cable all the way to the back... it must have been an option lol
