17's look good but depends on how low u want to go on the mk11 mines been lowered 65mm and with the 17's i have rubs with 2 largish people in the back and fronts rub on a half turn when riding over a bumpy road slightly annoying but 17's look cool

the largest id ever put on a mk2 would be 16". anything bigger and it just doesnt look right, imo.

Unless you have reasonable power, bigger than 15s ruin the dynamics of the car completely in my opinion.

I have driven cars with up to 17s on and the definitely prefer the 15s.

Yeah I have thought about that as well with relation to power and I think my 2L from a MK3 I have in my Mk2 should be okay.

I totally agree with you Gavin. The beeza is a different car with 15s, instead of 17. i`ll never go back to big wheels.

Sometimes its about the Bling though

16's ??? maybe ?? I think these days most of the rims are minimum 17"

I will check it out at Tempe Tyres and let you guys know.

    16s are a great compromise on a mk2.
I've run 7 by 16s for years and one has to get close and read the tyre size to pick what they are.
