What is it worth?- 1990 Aussie Delivered Mk2 GTI

I am thinking about selling my GTI. It is the Aussie delivered model in what I believe is better than average condition.
It has just clicked over to 144,000km. A new clutch and waterpump was fitted recently.
The AC works well and the car is completely stock-standard completed with the usual hole in the driver's seat upholstery haha.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what price I should advertise it for?

Have you done anything to it or is it standard? Have you had a look on here to see what similar cars go for? IMHO Mk 2's can go from $2,000 to $6,000. I don't think the fact that it's Aus delivered would make that much of a difference in price. Mk 2 GTI 3 door's with a 16v seem to command a premium though

Would sell quickly at $3000 but you might get up to $5000 if your prepared to wait (mechanically perfect)
Just what I've seen, havn't actually sold a MK2 myself
MK2 - *Insert list of dealer purchased extra's/standard features here*
80 series - The MK2's BIG, Sooty, polar opposite...

No, the car is completely stock-standard right down to the radio-cassette player! Most Mk 2's that I have seen advertised have much higher km's on the clock. It would be nice to see it go to a good home where the Mk 2 would be appreciated.
It sounds like about $5500 would be a good place to start then?

I think ryan is roughly on the money.

Just remember that there isn't a big market out there for mk 2's! So it really depends how quick you want to move the car
