Thanks Matt!
Suspension is dead stock as far as I can tell, so OEM ride height.

I spent 2 hours getting 25 ks down the road to work and back again. My radiator froze and when it's -7 outside it doesn't unfreeze until lunchtime.

Errr, do you not run coolant in your radiator?
The week before I replaced the head gasket and needed to flush the radiator from all the radiator stop leak I used. Guess who didn't have time all week to flush it and replace with clean water and coolant.

I was wondering how you were going down there Paul with the cold weather.
Yesterday I actually had the opposite happen!
Split in the water pipe from the engine block, lost half my coolant and nearly overheated!
I could smell the steaming coolant coming through the cabin.
Easy fix, but yep, I have to put some new coolant in as well.

I replaced the front pads and while I had the calipers off I checked how much work is needed to fit the 280mm disks and calipers off my Seat Cupra. Perfect fit, no adapters needed. Unfortunately there is no way they would fit inside a 14" wheel so I won't fit them until I soften the suspension and put the 15's back on.

Finally fitted lowering springs and new top mounts to the front end.
Old ones were truly past their use by date!
One totally fell apart as I tried to remove it from the strut.
Ride has improved drastically.
Tuesday I will fit the rears.
Guess I can change my signature now
