    It's ILOOMinating

Losing spark when hot, so time to change the Crank Position Sensor and get a few other issues sorted out.

Found Oil Cooler hoses from a MK3

Sorted out the loom pressing onto brake reservoir, the speedo cable was above the loom, swapped it around and pulled the loom into correct position.

Knock sensors are shagged but temporarily sorted until I get my hands on some. Soldiered on...

Replaced some old connectors on throttle and CPS, rerouted, rewrapped and reconneced the lighting looms

Reverse switch is dodgy, will sort that out soon... ran looms in and around P/S pump

And finally need to resolve the power supply to the CPS, need to find a 5V supply, not 12V. But she's happy for now and will revisit the knock sensors and a few other bits and pieces later.

Yes, will dump coolant and refresh!

    Because we all like piccies!!!

    Looking good Blis!

I got half way though changing my heater core and a rad flush. New parts ready to install.
Lower dash mostly out... And I can't find the two rear clips that people talk about in DIYs.
Decided it doesn't get that cold here in WA so bypassed the core and carried on with the flush.
The core is a job that can wait until I rip the whole dash out for flocking or order a "new" dash from the UK.

Heater core isn't a big job but it does take a lot of time to do. Only the lower part of the dash and the centre console need to be removed.

It does seem straightforward. Lower dash and centre console is out... But my AC unit isn't. Perhaps that's where I've tripped up.

That's a job for next weekend... Maybe.

It is giving me the ****s being in limbo with it, but nice not to have coolant leaking.

Just pull the whole dash out. A million times easier to work on the heater box then.

Plus if the foam on the internal doors is shagged, you'll need a special type to replace it. Fortunately I have done that legwork and it's from a place in Sydney called "The Foam Booth"

Time I don't have much of and now don't have easy access to my workshop, so it may be another winter without a heater

The heater in my MK2 is better than my MK5. It's SO worth it!

Definitely agree. So nice to have hot air blasting my hands and demisting the windscreen when it's 0 degrees outside.
