Thumbs up Thumbs up for heater cores playing up during winter

yes its that time of year in victoria where most of us just cant do without the beloved heater, i have a question
I need opinions on the easisest way to clean out a heater core that is slightly blocked, its not leaking water, its blowing warm air, but not hot, so if you guys could chuck some of your opinions on here, would be much appreciated

would a radiator flush solution do anything? That's a guess.

Also have you doubled checked the cable that controls the door in the heater box? Mine slips so it doesn't close properly and gives only warm air

Mine hasn't worked for the 9 years I've had my mk2. Had a different one from an Aussie mk2 fitted and it still doesn't work. Not sure ifthe cables and hoses are connected correctly though. It's time I fixed it.

Had to scrape the ice off the windscreen the other day. Might be time to get my heater working too.

One of the vacuum lines or sliders that open the flap is probably not connected and so the hot air is not getting into the cabin.
