Sydney group meet MK1's and MK2's

Judging by how many MK1's and MK2's there were at the VW Nationals in Sydney it seems we could get quite a few cars together if we tried. So I'm trying.

How about we scheduled for a Sunday sometime early August. That will give you over 2 months to get your car ready.

Get together at Maccas in Narellan around 11 am followed by a group drive down the old Hume Highway over Razorback to Mittagong for pix and lunch. This will allow for anyone coming from the south to meet us there if they don't want to drive to Narellan.

Anyone interested? Even if you don't have your car running it's a great chance to meet other early Golf loving people and check out their cars.

I'll post this in the MK1 section and the Meets & Events section too.

    Cheers

    Paul

There's no interest from the MK1 brigade so it looks like it might be a MK2 meet only.

Even if only one other MK2 shows up I'll still be there. I got heaps of info out of talking to another MK2 owner at the nats and that's even without getting time to go for a drive.

Do we still want it in August or delay to September? Just need to see who's serious about coming and settle on a date.
