    sway bar size

    hey all do we know what size sawy bar an Aus spec GTI came with 17mm or 19mm?
    90 GTI Mk2 1.8t soon to be with GT28rs

    Not sure I can help, I have a Euro 16v spec one laying around if you'd like to know the spec of that I'll run out and measure.

    If you're thinking of upgrading I'd recommend going big, they're the best thing I have done to my car handling wise.

    I have Neuspeed front and rear, biggest available for the mk2, 25 and 28mm respectively. They weigh a ton though so not sure I'd get the same brand again.

    its all good weight = win.

    where did you get them from mate?

    did it tighten everything up?

    I've got Eibach 22 & 25 and they aren't very heavy. Definately stiffen things up, less roll in the corners.

    Eibach Australia can get them for you but with the strong dollar I'd buy out of the UK.

    edit GTI had 19mm front only as rear torsion bar acts as a sway.

    Eibach in Aus don't know the word globalisation, they think we can't access Eibach anywhere else I rang them once and almost laughed at the guy when he told me the price of springs
