Good to hear it's sorted and that the KYB dampers weren't ruined by the stiffer springs.
That's very poor engineering with the H&R rear springs - it makes you wonder if they took the springs for a different, lighter car and decided "that's close enough" and rebadged them for a Golf MkII

my thoughts aswell, maybe for a lightweight track car but the numbers were right when i checked. Im all for low and cool aslong as the suspension will still work as intended or better. I think if you punted the car around a track it would be much better now unless the track was like glass, anyways im happy now though was amazed at how hard it was to track down stock springs. I think the car will still settle a little more after a couple weeks. Probably hard to wreck the dampers when they werent hardly moving??????????
cheers

it sounds as if you have fixed the problem but if it still rubs do change your tire profile and if your not going to change the offset of the RS's then roll your metal arches and bond the plastic arch on,
I have no idea what the parts for changing the offset is in Oz is but in the uk second hand parts are readily available, contact some one like Ellie at Voodoo motor sports via email or David and Jeremy at just matz (only new) asking the same question, they can help. I should be shipping items over to Sydney in the next 45 days so could stick them in my shipment if that helps then forward them on when they get there
