yep, they'll look sweet!
My old mk2 had the exact same sunroof as that! Didn't think it was factory... Had a pretty bad leak to it
sunroofs, what the hell for

That's defo a factory sunroof, they did need an airline blast regularly to keep the small drain tubes clear, think they come out between the front door and the wing. Can rot through the metal sectin near the top too if not kept clear, then it's trouble. Still these quality cars take some to rust
Thanks for the heads up mate, are there drain holes at the rear as well?
Thinking that my ecu might be shot too, If I have to replace it I wouldn't mind remapping at the same time, Pretty new to the game still, anyone got some ideas or be able to point me in the right direction? Any help would be awesome.
I had the same leak in mine... The seal was starting to perish and every time it rained heavy it would leak all over the back seats
There are 2 drainpipes for the sunroof and they could be blocked.. Both have small flexible tubes leading to the back corners of the car ( one on each side)
Have a look under the car at where the back tail lights are.. If you can't see them, have a look inside the back compartment side walls (might have to pull the black spongy cover back and see them)
If you have something small in diameter, flexible and long enough to reach where the sunroof is.. Push it through the tube until you unblock it.. Put the hoses back to where they were
After doing that test the tube by pouring some water along the tray of the sunroof ( open the sunroof and see tray from the top around the opening ) you should see the water you poured in come out from the back
Hope it makes sense

seeing this pop up again had really made me want a mk2 again
Cheers Fonz. I'm hoping for some garage time today so i will have a look.
Thanks Brad. I'm itching to fit the wheels up. Throwing around ideas for the wheel centres. Torn between getting the re-machined or painting them charcoal/gun metal.......
