I like that, looks great man!
So tackled somthing I'd be putting off for a LONG time.
Found rust in the upper right corner of the 'inner' arch.
First impressions...
Cheers to the person that filled it full of bog and ignored it
Started wire wheeling back,
First cut/section...
2 of the 3 patches welded in,
Positioning of the 3rd
Had a work colleague do the welding for me, he's currently working on a cool Datsun 1200 ute resto.
Will take some more pics of what I'm up to now next chance.

Just an idea for any MK2 owners or anyone with older A/C systems.
I recently had my A/C dump its charge out the back of a its HP/LP switch.
So, I replaced it, but of course the system was empty by then.
For legal reasons, I will state this,
ALL A/C WORK WAS CARRIED OUT MY A QUALIFIED, LICENSED PROFESSIONAL*
So, I found myself a
Vacuum pump/Manifold Guage set
And this,
A/C now works okay (car must be moving lol) and I've got 1 tin left
Gonna look into acquiring some Hychill though.

Havn't updated this in a bit,
Been distracted by this black boat,
Another CV boot split, so instead of the continuing "replace a CV boot every year trend" decided to replace both axle assemblies.
Also redid the tranny output seals as last time forgot to put this cap in,
Which resulted in this CV having its grease washed out....(thats straight out of the car, no cleaning lol )
So out comes the lower ball/rod joint (must FULLY remove pinch bolt, as I found out) and drive shaft slides out, after removing that big axle nut.
Ahhh, young seal we meet again...
Seals replaced and cap INSTALLED this time
New shafts/joints greased up with my DIY 'grease gun'
Whipped cream anyone?
Just gotta find a way to torque this axle nut back up now
195Ft/lbs btw.
