thought it could help a couple of people. i can get the PF or PB digifant chips or full ECU if anyone is interested.
shouldnt be more than 60 bucks i think but not sure
if i could find my tuning chip i could sell that.
    boasts to about 123hp
would sell it for 50 bucks

RV engine makes 100hp or 77kw
PB engine make 112hp or 83kw

Doesn't sound like a lot but from what i have read the PB engine performs a lot better.

To turn a RV in to a PB (going by what i have read above) it will take about $200.

ok, ill check what i can do, well pb and pf is the exact same ecu really onme was just for german market and the other for the uk market.
so if people needed parts etc they knew uk or germany. ill check it out and pm u when i get any news.
if im lucky i might be able to get upgraded ECU from PF with the chiptuning in it to make it the 123hp straight out of the box.
But you need to change your cams VorOT to 12 degrees instead of 3 degrees.
not that hard really just timing gun and your right.
if you dont want the chip in it let me know ill search for plain one.
    cheers

Sorry to bring up this old thread. The german website link it doesn't compare the size of the in/exh valves (40/33mm?), so I am unsure if the valves size are same on PB vs our RV heads. I would like to fit a PB ecu on my RV to see if it can make more power as I have 4-1 extractors and *errhmmm* de-cat (for now ), if valve sizes are same, looks liek i already have a PB ready engine??

I may be corrected here. I have always believed that the main reason for the loss of power with the RV engine was the strangulatiing exhaust manifold and down pipe. If you compare the RV setup to that off a european engine or even the 2 litre exhaust and down pipe you will see a massive difference in size. Having said all that it may be that because the RV was essentially the engine that VW used for the tougher emission laws in California that the ECU is programmed to give slightly less performance.
