Looks great! Function over form any day.
    Is that your welding?
You could take it for a test drive with no grille.

Does anyone know which rpm should i be referring when setting ignition timing, idle speed? I have been doing it with the MFA screen but realised the rpm meter is lower by about 100-150 rpm. I am wondering if this is the reason the car stalls/splutters when warm.

I have replaced and done the following:

    Replaced CTS
    Cleaned ISV
    Checked throttle switches
    checked ECU grounding (0.2 ohms)
    Replaced all vacuum hoses
When i pull out the CTS, you can hear timing change and does not splutter

Found the problem. Its a dead o2 sensor! Was tricky because everytime i pulled out the CTS, it bypasses the o2 sensor so it always runs fine.

Bleed the brakes and went for a drive.... no more stalling at traffic lights! Idles slightly rough maybe because of my 272 cam but only fluctuates between 800-850rpm. Finally, its reliable to drive since i bought it 5 months ago.

I'm back from a long hiatus... have been enjoying driving until recently when more work was done to 'Gunter'.
With more free time now, i thought i should restart this again.

Found these underneath the carpet while fiddling with gear stick... got some freebies and cashback from previous owner.

Have been feeling too much engine rocking and occasional 'thud' on firewall, eventually found the rear engine mount is shot!
Decided to go cheap (instead of using poly mounts) to make a stiffer OEM rear mount by inserting some rubber strips into the gaps... not sure if it will help.

Transmission and front mounts were also replaced at the same time.

Also a on the cheap fix is to fill the gaps with silicone or sikaflex (i think) you can buy it at any auto parts store.
